Support a good cause

Dear All,
Our own BMUK Member Ajay Ghumra, along with 54 other serving police officers (MPS), is taking part in a UK Bike ride taking in just over 250 miles from 4th June to 7th June 2021 to raise funds for Care of Police Survivors (COPS).

COPS is a charity that supports the families of police officers and staff who have lost their lives on duty. Their website can be found at https://ukcops.org/ for information.

Ajay Ghumra has set up a Just giving donations page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ajay-ghumra.
We realise that 2020/21 has been difficult in terms of peoples finances being affected by the pandemic, but any amounts however small will assist and personally much appreciated by Ajay.

Dear Members
In the light of the current situation regarding Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and the increasing public concern, the Committee and the Trustees have decided to cancel all the events for year 2020.

Considering Government guidance, and in the interests of Health and Safety, we felt it was important to be safe and cautious. We apologise to all members for any inconvenience caused and we hope to be able to hold this very popular evening in the near future.

Please check the BMUK website for further information and updates on this and future events. If you have any queries, please do email the Committee.

Kind regards,

Committee and Trustees.

Coronavirus (COVID -19) Announcement (September 2020)

Dear all,

The last few months have certainly been a challenge for us all and I’m sure like us you are finding new and adapted ways of living and working. As always, we hope that this message finds you, your family and all relatives safe and healthy. With new government guidelines in place and the uncertainty of when we will go back to ‘normal’, it is more important than ever to remain supportive of each other and harness all the connections that our community has to offer.

Here are the latest updated government guidelines and updates for your reference: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

Now is the time to be even more vigilant and make sure we protect ourselves and our loved ones. There are many websites to order Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – including https://trustedppe.co.uk/. Make sure you always leave the house with a face mask and hand sanitizer and if you have children over 12 or elders in your home, be sure to keep them protected too.

The BMUK Committee are here to help and support where possible during this difficult time, so please feel free to reach out to us on committee@bmuk.org. If you don’t have internet access please call any member of the Committee.

Let’s hope this pandemic will end soon and in the meantime let’s all help each other during this extended period of lockdown. Please continue to be vigilant and look after yourself and your loved ones.

Take care and be safe,

BMUK Committee
